iFly Atlanta Adventure

If you all are looking for a fun thing to do for the whole family you all should checkout iFly in Atlanta. I have been curious about iFly for quite some time now and it was fun to finally check it out. When we arrived there was plenty of parking which is always nice! We walked in and easily filled out online waivers which only took a few minutes to complete for the whole family. Afterwards, everyone was weighed and given wristbands with our scheduled time on it. A few minutes before our scheduled flying time, we were taken into a small room, watched a short video and given instructions by one of the ifly instructors. The instructions only took around 5-10 minutes and then we were all given flight suits, helmets and earplugs. The kids were instructed to go ahead of us and to enter the flying tube in a “starfish like stance. Our flight instructor was great with the kids and did a wonderful job making them feel comfortable. They give you the option to do a high flight the second time you enter the flying zone. One person flies with the instructor at a time. I am so glad we did opted for the high fly because that was my favorite part. The instructor flies with you much higher and you fly in circles. It is quite loud in the tunnel so the ear plugs were helpful. Our kids are ages 9, 8 and 6 and they all did a great job and really enjoyed this experience. We joked that the experience reminded us of the scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where Charlie and his grandpa drink the fizzy lifting drinks and start to fly to the top on the fan until they burp their way down. The kids are all proud of themselves for trying something new and now they get to tell all their friends they’ve flown. I would recommend trying this fun experience at least once.
